DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Maria Mylova (Kavli IPMU)\n\nRegistration will close
on 17 July.\nMotivation\n(1) Effective methods in other fields (e.g. quar
konium\, hydrodynamics\, nonequilibrium QFT) to studyeffects of dissipatio
n and noise and decoherence have seen a lot of progress in recent years\,
andcosmology / gravity can benefit from bringing these tools and perspecti
ves in a structured way.(2) In addition there has been rapid progress in q
uantum gravity and various aspects of quantuminformation theory including
entanglement and complexity\, as well in topics like studying quantumprope
rties of matter in fields like condense matter physics.(3) There has been
a major increase in quantum technologies\, and quantum sensing in particul
armay fill gaps or improve sensitivity for particle dark matter and gravit
ational signals.\nPlan/format\nThe programme would be split into(i) a smal
l number of lectures that summarise key methods and set a commonlanguage.(
ii) invited plenaries reviewing progress on key topics (~ hour) aimed at a
n interdisciplinarycrowd.(iii) invited talks on interesting works (~ 30 mi
n).(iv) If time allows\, we may include a limited number of posters.\nAim:
The aim is to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and transfer of kno
wledge at theintersection of quantum physics. We would like this to be use
ful in a practical sense\, for researchers inJapan and abroad that are int
erested to learn and engage in research in these topics andhow these platf
orms could be used to learn more about our quantum universe.\nDates\n3 - 7
August\, 2026\nVenue\nThe on-site workshop will take place at the Lecture
Hall of Kavli IPMU\, The University of Tokyo\, Kashiwa Campus (5-1-5\, Ka
 shiwanoha\, Kashiwa-shi\, Chiba\, 277-8584\, Japan).\nThis workshop is in-
 person only.\nInstitute wide colloquium (5 Aug 2026\, at 15:30)\nCliff P.
