Description

Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory (ASO-S) was officially approved in the end of 2017. The primary scientific objectives are to study the relationships between solar magnetic field, solar flares and coronal mass ejections. The are three payloads on it. By now the mission is in the stage of flight model and is planed to be launched in 2022. This talk will describe the general progress of the mission, with a focus on the payload of Hard X-ray Imager (HXI).
