IC Cards for easy transportaion
For train and bus transport, most lines (including the local buses in Kashiwa) will accept either Suica or Pasmo IC Cards, which allow for quick and easy payment of fares by tapping a card reader. These cards can be purchased at most train stations. Some express trains will require the purchase of an additional express fare tickets beyond the base fare, so simply tapping your IC card will not be sufficient. Local Tobu buses from Kashiwa or Kashiwanoha Campus Stations also accept IC cards. You simply need to tap the card readers when entering and exiting the bus. If you do not have this card, you can pay by cash/coin as well. To do so, when you enter the bus you will see a paper token dispenser. Collect a token when you board the bus; said token specifies where you started your journey. Hand this token to the driver when you want to exit and pay the fare by cash/coin.
