Accommodations
IPMU is located at the Kashiwa-no-ha campus of University of Tokyo. Kashiwa-no-ha is accessible from Tokyo via Tsukuba Express Railway. Options for accommodation is somewhat limited in the area, and recommendation goes for those around the station as there are many stores and restaurants near the station. The first two in the list below are next to the shopping complex at the station. The third one is next to the IPMU campus. The first option is particularly popular and early reservation is recommended (it also comes with a large public bath with natural hot spring).

A free UTokyo shuttle bus is available between IPMU and Kashiwanoha Campus train station (Google map links to exact bus stop location). When boarding, tell the driver you're a visitor to Kavli IPMU to avoid the fee.
