Conference Banquet
The conference banquet will be held on the 2nd day (Wednesday Sept 19th), on a traditional Japanese 'yakatabune' pleasure boat which will depart from near Asakusa and cruise down the Sumida River to Odaiba.
Please sign up (via the link sent to registered participants) before the end of Friday, Sept 14th.
Departure Location: 6:30pm at Azumabashi pier (across the bridge from Asakusa subway station, and next to the Asahi Beer HQ). Note that this is near Asakusa, about ~50 mins from Kavli IPMU.
Self-Organized Excursion
On the afternoon of Wednesday Sept 19th, before the conference dinner, there will be a self-organized excursion to Asakusa, the traditional entertainment district of Tokyo.
Participants should make their own way to the Kashiwanoha-Campus station (either by bus or campus shuttle), and take the Tsukuba Express train (direction towards Akihabara) to Asakusa station.
After getting off the Tsukuba Express at Asakusa station, please enjoy the traditional sights and shopping at Asakusa, including:
- Sensoji Temple
- Kaminarimon entrance to the temple quarter
- Nakamise shopping street of traditional crafts
