Description

We are at an exciting time of cosmology with a number of Stage III galaxy surveys finishing up and Stage IV experiments on the horizon. In this talk I will summarize some of the first year DES cosmology results, focusing on the 3x2pt and 5x2pt analysis which probes the large-scale structure through the galaxy and weak lensing fields. I will point out some of the challenges going forward with DES and LSST, as well as some new exciting directions that the new data allows us to explore.
