The on-site symposium will take place at the Lecture Hall of Kavli IPMU, the University of Tokyo, Kashiwanoha Campus (5-1-5, Kashiwanoha, Kashiwa-shi, Chiba, 277-8584, Japan). Kashiwa is located about 10 km northeast of Tokyo (Chiba Prefecture).

There is a University of Tokyo shuttle bus leaving from the Kashiwanoha campus station to the campus.
The shuttle bus runs between Kashiwanoha Campus Station and our campus. (Approx. 10 min.). The bus stop is along the station rotary road close to Mitsui Garden Hotel Kashiwanoha. You can find a signboard which shows the “Corporate bus”. Please tell the driver that you are visiting IPMU when boarding. No ticket/certificate is necessary for visitors. The bus will stop in front of Kashiwa Library on campus. For more details including the timetable etc., please see the following website:“Option 2: Complimentary shuttle bus run by the University”.
IC Cards for easy transportation
For train and bus transport, most lines (including the local buses in Kashiwa) will accept the Suica or Pasmo IC Cards, which allow easy payment of fares by tapping a card reader. Local Tobu buses from Kashiwa or Kashiwanoha Campus Stations also accept the IC cards. You simply need to tap the card readers when entering and exiting the bus. If you pay by coin, pick up a paper slip on riding the bus which specifies your starting bus stop. Place your IC card on the display next to the bus driver to determine and pay your owed fair when you get off the bus. The IC cards are even accepted in our campus cafeteria.
There are several options for participants from abroad to get the IC cards:
