In light of the increasingly serious global spread of the COVID-19 illness, we regret to inform you that we have decided to postpone the Cosmic Cartography 2020 Meeting, originally planned for April 6-10, 2020 in Kavli IPMU, Japan.
Earlier, we announced the possibility of the fully remote conference, but we the SOC have decided that the personal connections are important in this meeting. So, we would rather hold it later in the year (tentatively in the September-November 2020 timeframe but TBD) rather than hold a remote meeting.
In April or May, we will reconsider the situation and announce a new date for the meeting. We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope that we will have a chance to meet later in the year.
Date: April 6-10, 2020
Venue: Lecture Hall, Kavli IPMU, Kashiwa, Japan
Note: Abstract submission or registration does not guarantee acceptance to the conference as space is limited. Please await confirmation from organizers before making travel plans.
Going into the 2020s, cosmic large scale structure will be mapped with increasing detail by the next generation of observational facilities operating at various wavelengths (radio, optical, infra-red) and exploiting various techniques. Meanwhile, theory and simulations are increasing in sophistication in their ability to describe large-scale structure. These advances could potentially allow greater constraints into cosmological parameters and theories of galaxy evolution.
The goal of this meeting at the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (IPMU) is to bring together a diverse group of researchers working on the cosmic web, its various tracers, and their embedded galaxies from both observational and theoretical perspectives. This will be an opportunity for researchers who may not usually encounter each other to interact.
