Accommodation
Participants are expected to arrange their own accommodation.
Kavli IPMU is located in Kashiwanoha, which is well connected to central Tokyo (~25km) by the Tsukuba Express line. Visitors may either choose to stay in peaceful Kashiwanoha, or in bustling central Tokyo (only ~45 mins away). If you opt for the later, we would recommend somewhere around Asakuka or Akihabara for easy access to the Tsukuba Express line.
Some hotel websites are only in Japanese, but most hotels should show up when searching for 'Kashiwanoha' on popular booking platforms like Expedia, Booking.com or agoda.
Attention: Recently, there have been scams targeted at academic conference attendees where malicious parties pretend to be calling to help you book conference accommodation. We, the conference organizers, can advise with accommodations but we will never ask for your credit card details by phone or email. Please exercise due diligence in case of any suspicious calls.
