Accommodation

Participants are expected to arrange their own accommodation.

Kavli IPMU is located in Kashiwanoha, about 25km from central Tokyo but conveniently connected by the fast Tsukuba Express train service. Visitors may either choose to stay in peaceful Kashiwanoha near IPMU, or in bustling central Tokyo (~45 mins away) to enjoy its culinary scene and attractions.

Some hotel websites are only in Japanese, but should still be bookable by searching for 'Kashiwanoha' on standard reservation sites like Expedia.com, Booking.com or Agoda.com .

Attention: Recently, there have been scams targeted at academic conference attendees where a malicious person pretends to be calling to help you book conference accommodation. We, the conference organizers, can advise with accommodations but will never ask for your credit card details by phone or email. Please exercise due diligence in case of any suspicious calls.
